Knowledge is Money

They say knowledge is power but I like to reword it a bit to knowledge is money. Did you know that the gross income of an average person increases thousands of dollars from a high school education to a college degree? In this society, in order to succeed, you need to educate yourself in whichever field you choose. Even having basic knowledge can help quite a bit.
For example, if you want to purchase a powerful computer, you should be ready to fork over at least $1,000. But did you know that you can create the same computer for only $600 if you have some basic computer hardware skills. I am building my own gaming PC and so far I think the total will come around $640. This includes a Q6600 which is a quad core CPU, 4 gigabytes of ram, and a powerful graphics card. Albeit, I am reusing some old parts from past PCs but that’s how you save money. You can learn how to build your own PC is less than a months time with proper reading material. This lesson can be applied into other areas as well. Like if you learn how to change your own oil in your car, you can save a good amount of money over time.

Not too long ago, I mentioned that I am in the process of creating a music site, but before I spill the beans, I wanted to a little bit more research on how other marketing strategies work. I have not tried many marketing strategies, such as article marketing or affiliate marketing with landing pages, but I have tested out BANS, and to tell you the truth, it has worked pretty well. I have decided that for one week, I will try to amass a great deal of information on adwords. Mastering adwords might seem simple, but there are some things that you have to know, such as bidding on a keyword, when to run and pause campaigns, how to write effective campaigns and so on.
So, in a week I will inform you guys how to work with adwords. Again, adwords isn’t completely new to me, as I do have campaigns running, as we speak, but there are several things that I might not be aware of. It is a very powerful tool, and if used correctly, it can be a gem. If you want to start learning on how internet marketing works, why not start setting goals on how you can improve your knowledge on marketing. If you are completely new to internet marketing, I suggest you google some keywords and start reading whatever comes in your hand. In my opinion, you should start with “keywords”, and see how they play a vital role in the internet cycle.
Finding The Right Hosting Company

Due to a massive influx of traffic, I decided to change my current host, which is 1and1, to one that can better suit my demands. 1and1 is a great hosting company if you do not demand a massive amount of bandwidth and traffic. However, just by spending a little bit more, you can greatly increase both bandwidth and web disk storage space which is why I wouldn’t recommend 1and1.
First off, before purchasing any web hosting service, you should read the Terms Of Service. I say this because you do not want to venture some of your capital on a web host that will take down your site due to a breach of contract. Many hosting companies do not allow you to host a forums that acts as a haven where users can post links to illegal software downloads, ultimately known as “warez.”
After much research I decided to go with HostMonster because they offer unlimited bandwidth and Web Disk Storage for only $6.95 a month. The only thing that I did not like was that you had to pay upfront for all the months you will use it for. I am, however, pleased with the service and they are very helpful. They are quick to answer your questions and so far I have used about 100 gigabytes of bandwidth in less than a weeks time and still everything is going strong. I read through their Terms Of Service and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

Currently, I’ve been looking around for other ventures in other niches. Finding and spreading your wealth in a variety of niches is a great way to diversify your business because it will enable you to maintain stability and growth in each industry. However, I don’t recommend you go out there and start a site in every niche, simply because that will destroy your concentration on niche.
The real question is when do you start building your wealth in other niches?
First, establish a niche that you are well knowledgeable. For example, if I am fairly decent at blogging, I should first set that up and start the production of some income. Remember, some income is better than no income.
Second, research what you are going to do and how you are going to do it. Is it going to require any people ? Will it be profitable in the long run?
Third, set up a budget and time for it.
So, I’ve decided to launch a new music site that will feature music videos and lyrics. Now, many of you will probably say, Oh Jordan, you do realize that is a very saturated niche, blah blah. I know what it is and the reason why I am doing this is because it is fun to have a site like that and in the long run it has more potential. Trying is better than not trying.
I won’t disclose the site name just yet, but as soon as I have it up, I will gladly announce it to you. If you are planning to get in the web business, why not start a site now and see how I do my marketing, building and monetizing.

Marketing on the web just doesn’t revolve around reading some books and preaching others by claiming how others have made hundreds, thousands or even millions off some unknown method. I am a firm believer that before I preach out something, I must go through the experience itself first. Why? The answer is simple, and that is to ensure others that your not a fraud, who is trying to imitate and make an image on false proof, instead you only preach what you have achieved and how you have achieved it.
I’ve been on the web for a while, and my first way to make money online was using blogs. I started out with one blog and learned a great deal how the blogging platform operated and how you can make money. Then, I realized that blogging was something that actually took alot of time, so there had to something that gave me a passive income (making money while I sleep). I saw many people on forums, such as digitalpoint, making money off scripts. The scripts were available in any type of site, such as proxys, forums, a clone of digg, domain reseller, and the list is endless. However, I knew that if I were to start something, I’d have to start on a thing that wasn’t too saturated or competitive. I fell in the hands of BANS. BANS is a simply acronym for Build A Niche Store, and it is basically a script that puts ebay auctions on your site.
Later, me and my buddy teamed on up on this project and opened up a BANS site on designer bags. The designer bag brand is Lesportsac and it actually did prove to be a unique, untapped niche. The site did quite well in the first few days, as it was one of the first spots in search engines for “Lesportsac bags“, but later it got funneled out of google and had to rely on word of mouth and ppc advertising.
The sites that I currently run on lesportsac niche are :
The site was launched in end May and it made $5 on the first day, and it closed the month earning revenue at $6.53
The may month closed at 170 clicks, with 7 bids, 3 winning bids and $6.53 in earnings.
June month, as of 6/21 1:20 pm it is at $33.99. The month so far has 176 clicks, 1 ACRU ( a referral worth $25), 10 bids with 4 winning bids and that gives a total of $8.99 in commissions.

BANS site script goes for $97, but if you are interested in creating one, contact me and I can help you out. The site startup costs are fairly low, as the domain goes for $7 on godaddy and the hosting is monthly $5. But, since I have other sites on my hosting, I don’t feel the surge of hosting this site as a major cost.
If you aren’t familiar with ebay, one of the largest auction sites, then I’d suggest you sign up and learn how the market on ebay operates. Fairly simple, yet can be a bit confusing.
